Tricky one to map with a number of first starters but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. NULLARBOR JANE (9) failed in a group two race on debut but looks set for a better result resuming at provincial level. Drawn low and stable would be all smiles about recent trials. LUSKINTYRE (8) draws wide on debut but recent trials have been educated efforts. Expecting an honest display. ISHIKARI (2) has shown early talent in two starts to date and stopped the clock in sharp time in a recent trial win. Bold on-pace showing expected. THE WARRIOR (1) has been sharp as a tack in his three most recent trials and blinkers applied for debut. On home track with a senior rider must respect. INFANT WARRIOR (5) has been close up in recent trials and gets an ideal debut draw. In the mix.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Nullarbor Jane to win.
2 12:40 MEX CLUB SUPER MAIDEN PLATE 900m
Expecting Mediterra to be prominent but one or more of the first starters should add to the early pressure. MAGICAL STAR (9) looks set to charge hard on debut for a powerful yard after three smart trial efforts. Early learner with a big presence and can make an immediate impact here. SOUTHERN HEIRESS (12) is a two-year-old filly from the Michael Freedman stable on debut today. Has been close enough in her trials to suggest a solid race day showing. MEDITERRA (10) was never in the hunt on a heavy track on debut but previous trials were solid. In good hands and with the race experience gets another chance. LADY TALEA (8) who is second up here and JIGADEE (2) who is on debut are both worth watching for any major market moves.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Magical Star to win.
3 01:15 THE WESTS GROUP MAIDEN PLATE 1850m
A solid tempo on the cards with Entitlement taking charge. PIERRO'S GIRL (9) fought on well over a mile last start and three runs back should have her topped off now. Set to give this a shake. ENTITLEMENT (7) will be rolling forward and took recent race day improvement into a big trial win coming into this. Close to peaking for this assignment. HAPPINESS (5) is yet to run top three in five starts but was finding an extra gear late last start over the mile. Respect any change in market confidence. BLACK BUGATTI (3) is overdue a win but came crashing home late last start at a similar trip. Drawn to get every possible chance. DESCARTES (4) is bred to enjoy this trip and more. Can turn around a modest debut with added fitness.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Pierro's Girl on top.
4 01:50 EAST MAITLAND BOWLING CLUB BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 900m
Slick tempo with Miss Backchat to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. CURL CURL (2) draws wide but has a cracking record at this track and trip. Fresh record is a smart one and senior rider is another plus. Consistent galloper with genuine claims. ZOE SHARK (4) was low flying before earning a break and always aims up fresh. On-pace mare that will take beating. WAVE BREAKER (5) has been below par in recent efforts but will appreciate a genuine class drop. Keep safe selection in all wagering. PRIMA BELLA (6) is an upside mare who won a similar race two starts back. With a well-used claim should hold her own. PRATT (3) turns up with hopes of a hat-trick but finds some speedy types to take on. Kept fresh but up in class and weight.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Curl Curl win.
5 02:25 TORONTO WORKERS CLUB 2YO MAIDEN HANDICAP 1200m
Plenty of first starters engaged which makes it tricky to map, but we can assume a keen tempo. ESCARGOES (1) looked to have every chance as runner up last start but the winner looks a decent horse. Strong claims again slightly back in trip despite a testing draw. BELLEVUE (17) needs scratchings to get a run but recent trials have been up to the mark. Educated effort on the cards. BELLA WAHINE (8) by the sire Wootton Bassett and from the stakes-winning mare Little Surfer Girl. Ran fourth at recent trial. In the mix. DUKE ATREIDES (16) two-year-old colt on debut. Has trialled okay heading into this. Should get all the favours from this good gate. Must be respected. WATSON (19) drifted back on debut last start over 1100m at Randwick Kensington and could only manage fourth. Has the race experience onboard now and gets his chance.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 1,17,8,16,19.
6 03:05 BERESFIELD BOWLING CLUB BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1600m
Despite their wide draws Scholl Deep and Ocean Diva have enough pace to cross and take up the running. EMPIRE OF ART (9) should get a solid tempo to come home off and best career runs have been at this trip. Previous second-up winner suited in this grade. OCEAN DIVA (13) had been holding her form stoutly before her last start failure. Freshened since and gets a few gear changes. Record at the mile is too good to ignore. SURREAL I AM (4) switched states to almost win again last start and tackles similar company. Perfectly drawn for an in-form prospect. HOOLIGAN TOMMY (1) got home by 3.5 lengths at Kembla Grange two starts ago but disappointed last time at Randwick when 4 lengths from the winner in sixth. Can bounce right back.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Empire Of Art each-way. Box quinella 9,13,4,1.
7 03:45 BELMONT 16'S (HBCF PINK RACE DAY CUP) PROVINCIAL BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP 1300m
Swift Gun, Dubai Gold and Powerful Peg can set a genuine tempo. FLYING ARGYLE (3) hasn't had much go his way in two starts this time in but is undefeated at this trip. Petrol saver draw is crucial this time in a wide-open contest. Take seriously third up. CONTRIBUTINGFACTOR (1) has been brave in similar contests at his two starts. Three-time winner at both track and trip who comes right into calculations. RIVER PAT (9) was runner-up to an in-form galloper last start and draws to get early smother. Yet to win at this longer trip but overall record is a reliable one. PRINCESS CRUZER (6) usually grows a leg second up but will need to from a poor draw. JUST IN TIME (4) showed determination when winning by 1.5 lengths when resuming from a break at Hawkesbury. Can go on with it.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Flying Argyle each-way.
8 04:20 CLUB MACQUARIE CONDITIONAL BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1400m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Audrey's Lane. HOW MUCH BETTER (3) rolls back to provincial level after two solid midway efforts off a spell. With a senior rider back on can land a knockout punch. CALIFORNIA SECRET (1) has gone from flowers to perfume this campaign and rises slightly in grade after three wins on the bounce on wet tracks. The momentum horse of the field. Stylish mare AUDREY'S LANE (6) attracts eyeballs after fighting on solidly first up as favourite on her home track. Include her in everything. BROK CAFE (5) has tip-top first-up credentials and has proven provincial form. Will be coming at them hard late. VIS I DO (9) is coming off a win at Bathurst and drops 6kg from last run, expected to go close again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: How Much Better win.
