FAST JOHN (3) comes into this off a bunch of second-placed finishes and knows the track well now. Might prove too strong for the newcomers. DRILLING RIG (5) wasn't too far off at Northam two runs back, and a repeat effort puts him in the mix again here. Keep safe. MR HOLLYWOOD (1) next in line after being beaten 4 len here in latest showing. WHAT SHOUT (8) can only be fitter third-up and worth including in wider plays. Sat on the pace to finish 3rd here in similar last time, only 2.5 len away and finds a similar assignment now. Well in the mix. CANGGU (8) resumes having come up north, and ran some decent races last campaign in tougher. Rates to make a mark immediately here. DEAL OBTAINED (2) should find this easier than last couple at this track, and looms as an each-way contender. BANG FOR BUCK (6) comes up from Kalgoorlie and is another who should find this easier than normal. Consider. PLATO OR PLOMO (1) was less than 2 len off at this track last time and comes right into contention. SUGGESTED PLAY: Very tricky assignment, so let's look at a boxed trifecta with 5,8,2,6 &1. |

A strong tempo is assured with Commissions and Lady Cabernet leading the charge. Wide open. LADY CABERNET (6) narrowly missed here resuming then put in another solid showing last start when runner-up, beaten 2 len. Strong winning claims once again. COMMISSIONS (3) ran on strongly last time to finish within a length of the winner and can run over the top of the lot of them here. RULESQUE (4) comes through the same race as COMMISSIONS and looks an each-way player. KINGS SICARIO (5) is a consistent type and should be around the money again as usual. MORE LIKELY (1) looks a handy one resuming and brings a big set of ratings from last campaign. Might well prove too strong fresh. GUARD THE SAFE (7) the next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Like the look of Lady Cabernet in this. |

Advanced should find the front with Starring Knight and Staaden on his heels. Cracking race with half a dozen genuine hopes and potentially a hot tempo. HAFEY (8) worked home very well at Northam to finish 3 len off the winner, and lobs in an easier looking race today. Stick with. STARRING KNIGHT (1) won well last time after a positive ride in similar at this track and can make it repeat wins in this. ADVANCED (2) ran out of juice at Pinjarra last time but looks better placed here and can make his presence felt. RED REBEL (4) likes it here and brings each-way claims again. STRIKING FELLA (7) has been freshened and seemingly never runs a bad one. Could win this one without surprising either. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tricky race, but going the way of Hafey. |

Roey Clam has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. Another ripping little race. Sticking with ROEY CLAM (6) on top. He'll likely bounce straight to the front and set the tempo here. Rarely puts in a bad shift at this track and can be winning this. MOCHA DREAM (3) returns from a spell and has a formidable fresh-up record. Keeping very safe. CRYSTAL VAIN (1) has been okay of late without setting the world on fire in similar grade, but has the ability to take this out on best form. BIN SHALAA (2) comes here after winning by 3 len in easier at this track last time and must be respected. YARDSTICK (9) is consistent and brings a bunch of ratings that would offer winning chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Let's put Roey Clam on top. |

Genuine tempo with Magnaburma and Mirrorschino up front. MIRRORSCHINO (6) should slot in very nicely at his first run up here for the new stable. Expect he'll set the tempo and he might simply prove too good. Strong winning claims. CAMPFIRE JACK (7) ran second here last time beaten a nose, and hast to be respected on current form. MAGNABURMA (2) is the only one likely to challenge the top pick for the early lead, and can apply plenty of pressure. Going well enough to win this. CANDLELIGHT SHERIF (4) won a race here resuming, then was a bit off last time. Willing to give another chance. LAUTRE (1) next in line, after notching a win here in easier last start. SUGGESTED PLAY: Happy with Mirrorschino on top in this one. |

Expecting Star Hostess to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. Another tricky one to finish on. PACIFIC LADY (11) has moved up here and should find this a bit easier than what she was contesting down south. Given 24 days between runs and might well prove too good. STAR HOSTESS (10) ran an absolute shocker last time, but is much better than that. Expecting her to take up the running today and be in this a long way. FIRE THE GUARD (3) looks a decent one resuming and is worth keeping safe. MAKE YOUR POINT (7) hasn't been too far away of late and comes here with decent each-way claims. DAWN RETREAT (5) ran a nice race two back, and a repeat performance here would give him some chance. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking Pacific Lady on top. |
