NUM TIME COMMENT
1 12:05 Sportsbet Get On Now Handicap 1100m
Signature Scent and The Volta possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. The two-year-olds kick us off and there could be some value in the form of TEINE AULELEI (3) who looked smart winning in good time on debut at Bendigo. It was on heavy ground so perhaps the margins were inflated, but the double figures in early betting seems big. SIGNATURE SCENT (2) is also coming off a Bendigo maiden win, leading throughout and scoring by 4.5 lengths. Ticks plenty of boxes from the inside gate and naturally looks a deserving favourite. GIN SPIRIT (1) resumes and brings the best form from last campaign. She's a two-time winner who was last seen running second in the G3 Ottawa Stakes at Flemington. That should hold her in good stead. THE VOLTA (4) won well on debut at Sale and isn't to be discounted at bigger odds.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Teine Aulelei each-way.
2 12:35 Sportsbet Race Previews Handicap 1100m
Strong tempo with Bold Bastille likely to hold the lead from the rails draw, joined by Foxenberg. SHADHAVAR (7) resumes and boasts some attractive formlines from last time in. She won a couple in a row before tackling some good races, the highlight being a 0.7 length defeat to the talented Arabian Summer here in the G3 Kevin Hayes. Gets in nicely at the weights, draws well and can make a winning return. RUNLIKENENCRYPTION (11) continues to race well, just missing here over 1000m last time out, beaten a long neck. Only needs to hold that form to be a strong chance again. FOXENBERG (12) was just fair in a bunched finish here last time but has ability, the debut win and subsequent price at Sandown Hillside a testament to that. Can improve. SALSA FELLOW (1) struggled behind the very talented She's An Artist last time but had been flying prior and this looks more suitable. SCAMPI (4) is a bit hit-or-miss but certainly has the ability.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Shadhavar to win.
3 01:10 Sportsbet Feed Handicap 1400m
Plenty of speed engaged with Fearless Monarch, Mercurial Lady and Betwitchery going forward ahead of Share The Stars and Too Darn Discreet. SUPERCILIOUS (2) looks better placed stepping to 1400m third up. The return run was great before being unsuited staying at 1100m last time, still finding the line well behind She's An Artist who gapped the rest. She boasts some good form at this trip and can land a bit closer from the inside gate. MERCURIAL LADY (6) won in fast time at Ballarat Synthetic first up before starting favourite here last time, looming up as the winner before being outfinished late. Like her getting to 1400m now and it wouldn't shock to see her turn the tables on XARPO (3) from that clash. That said, Xarpo was only first up winning and will only improve out to 1400m as well. Very hard to knock. ILLYIVY (4) split Mercurial Lady & Xarpo last time and has each way claims. TOO DARN DISCREET (1) has to concede these all plenty of weight but is a Group 2 winner and can't be discounted.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Supercilious.
4 01:45 Sportsbet VOBIS Gold Heath 2000m
Moderate pace with Make It Sweet rolling to the lead and setting the tempo. Hard to go past JIMMY THE BEAR (2) who backs up from winning the Winter Championship Final at Flemington last week. His form this time in has been outstanding and he just gets in so well at the set weights and penalties here. Some query out to 2000m but draws ideally and should just have too much class. POUNDING (1) has been behind Jimmy The Bear in recent runs and now meets that horse worse off at the weights. That makes it tough to say he'll turn the tables however he does boast a third placing to Cascadian in a G1 Australian Cup over this trip which is significant. Outside of those two, the rest are poorly weighted and the odds reflect that. MAKE IT SWEET (9) was solid here last time in BM78 company and can give a sight. BOGA LEGEND (8) should appreciate 2000m now and has some ability.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Jimmy The Bear to win.
5 02:20 Sportsbet Same Race Multi Handicap 2000m
Off the low draw Monte Cassino can take it up a race lacking a genuine leader. STOP THE ROCK (2) brings the best form to this having beaten Shockletz at Flemington last time out. That horse has since won again and the decision to keep Stop The Rock to 2000m here looks a smart one. Is drawn wide for a stable that don't love pushing the button but he has the speed to settle midfield. BRING FORTH (6) should be suited getting to 2000m now. He's always promised a bit and got the maiden out of the way at $1.40 two back before making ground off a slow speed at Flemington in a good race. Bred to stay, he looks each way value in early betting. VERONA RUPES (5) also brings the Shockletz form, fifth to that horse two back before a narrow third to Stop The Rock last time. He had the right run there but likely gets favours again. AMERICAN WOLF (1) was well backed to win the G1 SA Derby when last seen and willl stay strongly here. MOMETZ (7) hit the line well last time behind Taken and that form should hold up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Stop The Rock & Bring Forth.
6 03:00 Sportsbet More Places Handicap 1400m
Good pace from Keep Your Cool, Princeofnottingham and True To Form going forward. Open race. KEEP YOUR COOL (6) is a handy mare with a strong overall record. She won well first up on wet ground at Mornington before leading at a strong tempo here last time and sticking on very well for a narrow defeat. That should have her perfectly primed for the rise to 1400m and if she can get across early she'll go close. HE'LL RIP (13) has come back well, winning fresh at Sandown Lakeside before a good effort behind Cafe Millenium who was well backed to win a Listed race last week. That form should hold up. KAHHOF (8) is racing in consistent form of late and is one that maps ideally from a good gate. VAIL MOUNTAIN (10) had the right run to win last time but can measure up again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Keep Your Cool to win.
7 03:40 Sportsbet Race Replays Handicap 1400m
Expect a strong tempo with Lim's Saltoro pressing on from an outside draw, with Edison nearby. A few chances here. ZOU SENSATION (10) is up in grade but won well in BM84 company last start here and the overall time was good. He drops 4.5kg off that and gets Jamie Melham on board from an ideal gate. Can measure up strongly. THE OPEN (9) continues to race well without winning this time in, just missing in a driving finish behind YELLOW SAM (3) here last start. The Open was favourite on that occasion and gets Williams on which is a positive. No knock on Yellow Sam who has strung a couple together. She can settle midfield and have last say again. LIM'S SALTORO (1) split that pair here last time after showing speed, only going down by a neck. He can roll to the front and take plenty of catching again. RHEINBERG (7) was just behind those last time and looks to be back to his best.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Zou Sensation.
8 04:15 Sportsbet Sir John Monash Stakes 1100m
Expecting New York Lustre to take up the running with Lim's Kosciuszko and Cleo Cat close at hand. Handy little race. KALLOS (3) is the one that appeals if he can find his best. He only had one run last preparation and was a touch disappointing but it was in the G2 Challenge Stakes over 1000m which isn't his best trip. At his best, he's a very good 1100m horse who is suited at this weight scale, and he looked good winning a recent trialat Rosehill. IN FLIGHT (6) is racing very well, a winner of her past two at listed level. She's been well placed to win those and now takes on weight-for-age but this isn't overly strong and she'll take beating again. KIN (5) was behind In Flight when they met at Doomben and has been good in two runs since, winning the latest at Ipswich. She loves the Caulfield 1100m and looks a live chance. NEW YORK LUSTRE (10) is a progressive mare who resumes. This is a big step up but she's clearly talented. CLEO CAT (9) continues to race well although seemingly had her chance last time and has been up a while now.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Kallos.
9 04:48 Sportsbet Get On BlackBook Handicap 1700m
Genuine pace headed by Chakado from his wide alley. The barrier is the only thing against AZTEC STATE (5) who resumed with a fantastic win at Sandown Hillside, off a year-long spell there but bursting through to go on and win by three lengths. Has clearly come back well and should only take fitness improvement from that. Where he gets to is the query but if they're making ground out wider by this time in the day he'll go awfully close. OUTTA COMPTON (12) has won his past two in good style, handling all conditions and proving all-round adaptable. Can land in a good spot here and measure up again. BRITISH COLUMBIA (15) resumed with a strong run before a slightly disappointing effort last time. Plummets in weight for this rise in grade and 1700m third up looks ideal. UNTIL VALHALLA (16) is coming off a solid midweek win and can measure up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Aztec State & British Columbia.
