NUM TIME COMMENT
1 01:39 Arctic Installations Handicap 1300m
Genuine tempo with the speedy American Jazz leading the way. YAKI ISHI (5) found some form at the back end of his last prep on this track and resumed with a fair effort for sixth here 2 weeks ago. He improves with racing and can take this out. AMERICAN JAZZ (2) won 2 races on the bounce prior to finishing third here in a tougher race 4 weeks ago. All of his 7 career wins have been here, and he will be hard to hold out again. SUPER FAMOUS (6) fought on gamely to finish third in a tougher field here last week, and despite a weight rise, he can figure in the top 3 again in an easier contest. ALTAR BOY (1) is making his track debut after some good performances at Alice Springs earlier in the year. He will find this trip short of his best but can still be competitive while fresh. BLACK ZOUS (7) stuck on gamely to finish second fresh up here 2 weeks ago over 1100m and the extra furling will suit him. Each-way claims again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Altar Boy each-way.
2 02:12 PKF Merit Maiden 1200m
A solid tempo anticipated with The Flying Lanzini and Dynamic Theory ahead of Mlinzi and My Reward.  DYNAMIC THEORY (5) is heading the right way with his form since making the move from Victoria and was runner-up as favourite here 4 weeks ago. He is nicely poised to go one better this time. THANK GOD I GOTHIM (3) is a Victorian visitor who hails from the travelling Andrew Perdon stable, who has a great record when he treks to this part of Australia. This gelding was runner-up at his track debut here 2 weeks ago, and should clear maidens at short notice. NO BRAKES (1) was very disappointing last time out and has yet to show much since making the move from Queensland. His trainer, Gary Clarke, is one of the best in the business, and will have him sorted out third up. Jarrod Todd sticks with him, and so do we. PREDICTING (6) was around the mark when racing in Sydney and should have no trouble picking up a win in this area at short notice. Use the market as your guide. NUNNIONG (2) did not fire here 3 weeks ago and drops in trip with the blinkers on for the first time here. Each way.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Dynamic Theory to win.
3 02:54 AFA Insurance Brokers Handicap 1200m
Cracking tempo with Bon's Your Back and Cripps Tonite leading the way.  BRAZEN BON (5) won 4 of his 5 starts here last prep after making the move from Victoria, and he will be even stronger in this campaign. He comes to hand quickly and is the one to beat fresh up. POMPEII EMPIRE (9) was doing his best work late when resuming here last week over 1100m. The extra 100m is key this time, and he usually improves with racing. He is expected to finish a lot closer this time. BON'S YOUR BACK (2) has not missed a cheque in 7 starts here, including a couple of wins. He will find this easier than his last couple of starts, and with the aid of a 3kg claim offsetting his weight rise, he can take this out. VINNIE'S SPIRIT (8) was n good form at Alice Springs earlier in the year and will be making his track debut here. He benefits from a 1.5kg claim and he is worth including in all combinations. LUMBER PUNK (3) won fresh up here 2 weeks ago over 1000m and gets to remain in the same grade. He is usually better second up, and there is no reason why he can't win again.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Brazen Bon to win.
4 03:36 Sunbuild Pty Ltd TROBIS 3YO Handicap 1100m
Solid tempo expected primarily from Dancer For Money and Cap Ten.  ALL INCLUSIVE (1) laboured under his big weight here 3 weeks ago and did have to sustain a long run to try and get handy before the final turn. He drops 4kg and gets the tongue tie on for the first time. He is good enough to bounce back into the money here. DANCER FOR MONEY (4) has needed both of her runs back from a spell and looks to have found the right sort of field here to regain some form again. Each way claims this time. FORGETABOUTIT (6) had been thereabouts on the Alice Springs circuit since winning there near the end of March. He is having his first start on this track, and is not without some each-way hope in an even contest. CAP TEN (2) led up and ten folded here 3 weeks ago over 1300m He is having his third local start since moving from Victoria and has Jarrod Todd in the saddle, which is a plus in this area. Stick with him one more time. BUCKLEUP BUDDY (5) found some form at the end of his last prep at Alice Springs and will be stronger now. Watch closely fresh up.  SUGGESTED PLAY: All Inclusive each way.
5 04:11 FRM Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Handicap 1000m
Moderate tempo with Alpha Street leading the way and a few others keeping in touch.  EXCEEDINGLY MAGIC (4) resumes from a spell and usually comes to hand quickly. She might need some luck early on from a wide gate, but at this level, she will be among the hardest to hold out in another very even contest. CAPTAIN GEORGE (1) will be peaking third up after his last start minor placing here 2 weeks ago from a wide gate. He has a Superior draw this time, and even though there is a query over the drop to 1000m, he can still take this out. ALPHA STREET (2) won his penultimate start here over 1000m by leading all the way. He then just battled as favourite over 1200m 2 weeks ago, and will be suited by dropping back again in trip. Stick with him. CARAT TIME (3) did well in his last campaign on this track and will be resuming from a spell that would have done him the world of good. A wide gate is no help, but he is worth including in all multiples to be safe. BOOMERCONI (11) has yet to show his best in this State, but does have the ability and could be pop up at a big price.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Captain George each way.
6 04:41 Territory Isuzu Handicap 1600m
Marvelous Night and Hallowed Ground possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. GRINZINGER BISHOP (2) did not get warm over 1200m here fresh up and finished near the rear. He will relish getting straight out to a mile, and a form reversal is on the cards. Can win. MARVELOUS NIGHT (4) was a touch unsettled before the start last time out, which would have done him no favours when finishing fifth. He is backing up quickly and can make amends. Stick with him on an each-way basis. UNQUESTIONABLY (5) has found it hard to win another race, but he has not been far away in most of his runs. He was beaten by a length here last week, and is set to go one better this time. FABERGE TZAR (6) won his penultimate start here before whacking away to finish fifth last time out in a stronger field. He slides back down in grade and is expected to bounce straight back into the money here. DESARMER (1) had an excuse for his failure fresh up, and he gets another chance from the pole position here. Jarrod Todd sticks with him, and so do we.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Grinzinger Bishop each way.
7 05:14 AUFS Chief Minister's Cup 1600m
Plenty of pressure from Wolfburn, Cinque Torri and Great Buy battling for the lead over Bear Story. CINQUE TORRI (2) has cruised home in both of his starts here since shifting from Sydney. He has no trouble stepping up to a mile, and with a kilo less to carry from the pole position, he should complete the hat-trick. WOLFBURN (10) has been steadily improving with racing and only weakened late after setting the pace over 1300m here 2 weeks ago, finishing fourth. He has a good record over a mile here and is expected to figure in the top 3 this time. Stick with him. BEAR STORY (1) needed his fresh-up run here over 1300m a fortnight ago and will improve quickly with a step up to a more suitable trip of a mile. He has 4.5kg less to carry this time, and is worth consideration. PICAROON (11) was a game fourth behind the top pick in the same race when resuming from a spell. She will be having just her second start for a new stable, and can figure in the top 3 this time. GREAT BUY (4) is a durable veteran who comes into this on the verge of a hat-trick of wins. Stick with him for all bets.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Cinque Torri on top.
