The race pace here looks not too bad at all for a Maiden 3yo field. DETRIMENTAL (1) has not appeared since he raced on the speed on debut back on February 6 and went down narrowly, finishing second over 1000m at Tauherenikau. Win chance here for sure drawn well. SAND POINT (2) is an improver here after a distant debut third and gets a 2kg claim in this. Won a trial here prior. CONMAN (3) is a gelding by Almanzor out of Conniving who is at the races for the first time today. Has been twice trialled for a win (on the Cambridge Synthetic) and a third. Drawn well and will have good backing too. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER (4) is fresh up here. Fourth in a trial last month. Has won and run second in clockwise trials before first start.
