MATENRO GOLD (7) pushed forward when resuming last time and boxed on to finish a neck away in second over 2600m at this track. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. L'OTTOBRATA (11) returns from a spell of 12 weeks and did win first-up last time in work over 2400m at Kyoto. Makes plenty of appeal. AL DESTINO (8) broke her maiden last start over 2000m at this track when resuming, scoring by 3 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Re-unites with Kazuo Yokoyama who was on board last start. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped. ASK DEAD HEAT (4) recorded his first win last start over 2600m at this track, getting home by 2.5 lengths. Naho Furukawa was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up.
