Good early pressure anticipated with a large representation of unraced runners. STORMBENDER (8) made the pace with the enormously talented Legacy Bound on debut, and regressed into fifth. Resuming from a spell, he has trialled well in both appearances and is likely to be in the finish of this race. LORD CODA (2) raced four-wide into an honest pace last start and faded out of it. That maiden was particularly strong, and he can reverse his form. POPTHEBUBBLY (7) was well beaten in second last start after settling prominently in a strongly run maiden. The market expected a good run from him, starting $4.40 second favourite. DOUBT IN THE SKY (6) was luckless last start and can drastically improve with more luck.
