Expecting Perseverante to take up the running with Una Montana Alta and Clair Jack close at hand. UNA MONTANA ALTA (1) comes here off a break of eight months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1400m at this track. Rates highly and should take some beating. PERSEVERANTE (9) has had two runs since a break, the latest a fifth over 1600m at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. Generally runs well third up from a spell so a big run is likely. KANAU (11) hasn't raced since finishing 16th over 1200m at Hanshin Dirt on April 12 and has since switched trainers. Generally runs well when fresh, recording two minor placings from three runs. Shapes as a live chance back to this level. LIGHT THREE (4) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing tenth over 1200m at Funabashi three months ago. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a spell in two starts. Has an impressive strike rate at this distance with two wins from four runs and should be in the finish.
