Pace strong with Hakusan Selene and Diamond Kiss leading with Nishino Claudia nearby. HAKUSAN SELENE (6) took advantage of a low draw last time and led throughout, saluting by 1.5 lengths over 1200m at Funabashi. Change of rider to H Yoshihara who has never been out of the money in four rides, including a win. Sure to run well. NISHINO CLAUDIA (10) went forward over 800m at this track last time and held on for third. Will be close to the pace despite the draw. Has a solid record here at the distance with four wins and a minor placing from six tries. Will be hard to stop. DIAMOND KISS (9) returned from a spell five weeks ago when he was beaten 2.75 lengths into fourth over 800m at this track. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time. SIENA ACE (3) finished 16 lengths adrift in 11th last time over 1400m at this track in a disappointing performance. Nicely placed to turn things around.
