HORSEPOWER FEEDS & SUPPLEMENTS MAIDEN HANDICAP 900m

Track: HVY8   Rain (Max: 21)   Rail: True 400m-W/Post; +2m Remainder.

Solid tempo anticipated with Hawker Hall heading them off. HAWKER HALL (1) resumes. Showed plenty of early zip on debut when a gritty third over 1100m at Hawkesbury last October. Has been given plenty of time to develop further and the two searching trial wins look to have him primed for this. ZOUCAT (3) is a nicely bred filly by Zoustar from the stakes-winner Snitty Kitty on debut for the Maher yard. Showed ability when a close up third in a recent 800m Kembla trial. Tongue-tie goes on and sure to play a leading role. THE WAY AHEAD (2) has a fitness edge over most of these after chipping away late on debut when third over this track and trip on April 1. Would have come on further since and the winkers get added. Respect. HE'S COOL (4) resumes from a lengthy break. Failed to fire in his first prep and the two recent trials suggest he's come back much stronger. Blinkers come off and expected to add value to the exotics. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hawker Hall to win.
