Abundant pace from One Scotch, French Flame and Giambattista vying for the lead with Sundance Kid on their backs. PLAZA ACCORD (4) is a winner of his last two starts, the latest of which was over 1400m at Greyville. He has received a 3.5kg penalty for his last victory but in his current form can make it a hat-trick. SUNDANCE KID (7) set the pace over this distance at Greyville last time, before getting outrun late. The winner of that last race has come out and won again since. If repeating that effort in this field, he should be hard to peg back. JP'S PALACE (5) resumes from a spell and has been placed at both first-up runs when produced fresh-up previously. On best form can finish in the money. KAYGEE'S DELIGHT (10) in what was his second run this prep scored at long odds over 1800m last start at Greyville. He has drawn the outside gate but has good early speed and in a fitter state has each-way claims.
