Plenty of pace on show, headed by Exocet, Tripping Thunder and Chocolate Bomb. EXOCET (9) won a good race on debut over 1000m on this course. He showed good speed, found another kick and won going away. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. Richard Fourie makes the trip to ride her which is a big plus. She takes on stronger rivals but could be anything and can remain unbeaten. CARDINAL CHIEF (1) followed up his maiden victory with a good fourth- place finish over 1400m at Greyville. He won his maiden over this course and distance. He has scope and cannot be ignored. CIRCUMBENDIBUS (11) returns from a 10-week spell. He has won once, finished second three times and third once from nine starts over this distance. If not in need of the run, he should be figuring in the finish. MAR DEL PLATA (2) last start run must be ignored as the jockey was dislodged leaving the gates. His form prior to that outing was consistent. Looks well placed here to finish in the top-three. Include in exotic bets.
