From the inside gate Unique Valor can show speed with Kintaro and Icon prominent. PRESUMING (1) has been handled patiently and will only have his sixth start as a 6-year-old gelding. He was unlucky not to have won his last start at Arawa Park 18 days ago, and will be peaking third up from a spell. The long home straight here will suit him, and he can go one better. BREGO (2) was fourth as an odds-on favourite at Ruakaka just over a fortnight ago after finishing close up in third place there before that. The extra furlong is ideal, and he can make amends. Follow your money. KINTARO (3) has improved in each of his 3 starts back from a spell, and was third at Arawa Park last time out, finishing half a length behind the winner. A good draw suits him, and he should not be in this grade for much longer. COMEDY STAR (6) cops another wide gate and was a fast finishing fourth here 5 weeks ago. He is capable and only needs the right run to win a race like this. Each way value. SUGGESTED PLAY: In a tough field, we like Comedy Star at odds. Add in 1-2-3.
