Cracking tempo with Smile Amazones and A Shin La Seine leading the way. SMILE AMAZONES (2) held on well to finish second last time out over 800m at Himeji after leading for much of the way. Rates highly and will be hard to peg back. JUSTY LUCK (11) showed good early dash when resuming last start and held on well to finish third over 1400m at Himeji. Placed to advantage and can take this out. A SHIN LA SEINE (12) is fresh from a spell of four-and-a-half months and did hit the frame when last resuming at Monbetsu over 1000m. In a different yard now. One of the genuine hopes in the race. MAHO SHOJO (1) is a four-start maiden who returned last time and finished 12th at Nakayama over 1600m. Should progress from that last outing and poses a genuine threat.
