Many of these step out for the first time so a genuine tempo is expected. SCRUMPTIOUS (1) is the only runner who has been to the races and that experience may prove invaluable. Was in the market in the Gimcrack Stakes but failed to finish off as hoped. Turned out after that appearance and faces a far easier assignment this time. HELLABELLA (4) from the Waterhouse/Bott yard is a debutante by Hellbent out of the dam of the stakes placed Hell I Am. Trials have been inconclusive so watch the betting. IVORY FROST (6) is a Hanseatic filly on debut for Matthew Smith. Easily won a recent Warwick Farm trial so looks to have ability. Trapeze Artist filly PLEASURE QUEEN (7) has looked good in recent trials and should be ready to run well for the Ryan/Alexiou team. SPICE PRAWN (9) is by Too Darn Hot from a Northern Meteor mare. Trials have been fair - keep a close eye in the market. SUGGESTED PLAY: Scrumptious will be hard to beat but the betting and birdcage will play a big role.
