Only a small field with Proved likely to find a comfortable lead. PROVED (4) is a progressive mare, unbeaten in three starts to date. She resumed over 1010m at Sale and proved too classy as a $1.30 favourite over a trip that is likely well short of her best. Gets to 1200m now which is better suited and she maps ideally from the low gate. SUPERNIMA (2) resumed with a narrow win over this route, beating a handy one in Excelindeed. He's still on the up and is 2/2 at this track. DUEL VENTURE (5) struggled in stronger grade at Moonee Valley last start but was in the market there having run well in town prior. This suits. RUBOLOGY (1) is off a 33 day let up for this, coming back from 1600m. He can be hitting the line strongly. SUGGESTED PLAY: Proved to win.
