Good pressure from the outset with Atami Seiko, Fleur De Regina and Shelterbelt taking up the running over Namura Mick and Mikinokarakuribako. MIKINOKARAKURIBAKO (2) has been going well this preparation, scoring last start over 1400m at this track to make it two wins from four runs this time in. Has a strong record here at this journey with four wins from seven runs. Will be hard to stop. SHIMOGURI (12) showed little early speed from an outside draw last time then wound up strongly to score a nose win over 1200m at this track. In form and another big run is on the cards. NAMURA MICK (13) started at $4.10 last time but could only manage fourth, beaten 7 lengths, at this track over 1600m. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and is expected to run well. SHELTERBELT (9) ran a better race last start, finishing 4 lengths away in fourth over 1200m at this track. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
