Slick tempo with Maili to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. Tricky race with plenty of chances. JACOB'S LADDER (5) lightly raced gelding resuming. Showed ability in all four runs in the first prep and appears to have trained on judging by the two recent trials. Leading rider booked from the low draw. TELLING (15) excellent return in the heavy conditions when a plugging on pace third over 1000m at Kembla Grange. Desperate for a better surface and has further improvement to come. ZOUKERINO (10) gelding resuming after bumping into some handy types in town last prep. Comes to hand quickly and looks ready to go with the two trials.
