Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Amicus Curiae. TAVROS (8) hasn't raced for over two months since a very easy win as favourite at Tamworth. Has trialled a couple of weeks ago and proven up to a mile so the trip is ideal at this stage. Up and comer who should be competitive. AMICUS CURIAE (1) was a little disappointing at Dubbo but senior rider takes over and is at his best around this distance. Drawn well and his best would see him in the finish. RHYTHM IS A DANCER (3) will find this easier than the Ramornie where he finished midfield. Has trialled and won four races at this trip so must respect. PATINO RUBY (4) and LEICA MODEL (5) have good cases to run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Tavros to win.
