KWAI FONG HANDICAP 1200m

Track: GOOD      

Pace genuine with Hero Star and Flying Wrote pressing hard closely followed by Spicy So Smart. GALLANT VALOUR (3) won and raced well in his initial prep and is resuming from a spell that would have done him the world of good. He looked ready to rumble when winning the most recent of 2 lead-up trials and having Hugh Bowman in the saddle fresh up is usually a strong lead from this stable. Hard to beat. CAMINO (5) franked his improved trial form with a big win fresh up here over 1000 metres. He has been given plenty of time to get over that run and if he can cope with an extra 3.5 kilos, he will take some stopping again. FLYING WROTE (1) needed his first couple of starts before showing his true worth with a tough all-the-way win here just over 3 weeks ago. He is a progressive type who is expected to work his way through the grades this year. Stick with him. SO TREASURE (6) was a beaten favourite here last start but is better than that.
