BEE BARISTA (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1000m at Morioka Dirt, beaten 2.25 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. SPEED STAR (3) was prominent from the outset when fifth over 1000m at Morioka Dirt last time out. Form here at this trip is sound. Should settle handy in the run. Expecting a bold showing. ROBERTA CARINA (6) produced a reasonable effort when third last start over 1000m at Morioka Dirt, beaten 0.6 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Must raise the bar but she has the ability to bounce back. IKIZAMA (10) improved sharply last time out to score by a neck over 1000m at Morioka Dirt two weeks ago. Well placed to feature in the finish again.
