Expecting Western Edge to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. TRIUMVIRATE (9) has four minor placings from four starts this time in work, the latest as favourite over 1300m at Wodonga. Gets his chance to break through. ENCHANTED LASS (11) was on speed and stuck on strongly to finish 1.5 lengths away in second in a richer maiden at Pakenham last time. Close to a win and looks hard to beat. SHALAAKEI (5) is another close to break through. Four-start maiden who was in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third over 1400m at Werribee latest. Comes down a level this time. Should measure up. THE QUIET IMMORTAL (8) returned from a long break with a solid fifth over 1300m at Seymour. Fitter and can improve sharply. BOSS BOY (1) has ability and might want a shade further but is fitter for two jump-outs and will keep coming. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Triumvirate.
