Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of unraced runners. Open race with a big watch on the first starters. SCOOBARTIE (6) is bursting to win and looks the clear top selection of the raced brigade. Placed 4/5 so far including a near miss fresh. Expected to go close. POINTS FOR EFFORT (4) had just one start last campaign and was well off best when striking a firm track. Best figures, and clear best run, was on much softer ground so gets chance to find the earlier form here fresh. BIV'S SONG (13) is a filly by Bivouac making her first appearance. Won a Werribee jump-out on May 15. Well educated and looks a big chance to make an immediate impact. Same goes for WRITTEN WAND (14) who has had plenty of trials and jump-outs, winning the latest at Mornington. Watch the market very closely. MORNING RALPH (3) is open to further improvement and looks a leading chance despite the draw. SUGGESTED PLAY: Scoobartie should go close.
