Sat on the good speed on the back-up with a fighting third over 1000m at this track. No excuses today. Go close. ASK DI (10) unwanted in betting on debut ($20), when she covered a stack of ground early to finish a close-up sixth over 1100m at Wyong in a Super Maiden. Tricky gate again in a weaker contest. Top-three contender. VINGT NEUF NOIR (14) excellent return from the low draw when she stalked the speed to go under narrowly when second at this course and distance. Likely to go back from the gate and swoop late. TERRA LUMINA (7) shouldered the 59kg first-up for a respectable fourth over 1000m at Canberra. Has further upside and the cross-over nose band goes on. Expected to take a hand in the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 13,10,14,7.
