A solid tempo from Limbering, Cesar Bessan and Boulder Jack all kicking up to take advantage of their low draws. Lots of these making up the numbers. BRUZANI (3) returned from a break over the border and after getting a long way back found the line nicely for fourth. Almost a year since a win but fitter and won't get a better chance to find winning form. BOULDER JACK (2) is a local who ran a nice race on speed last time to finish fourth here, beaten less than two lengths. Low draw and at home will give a sight again. MISHIMA (4) was a fast finishing third two back then not far away last time over 1590m when seventh. A good pace will suit and should be winding up strongly. GIVE SOME LIP (19) rates highly. Poor gate but well placed this field and looks a leading chance. IL AMERICANA (9) doesn't win out of turn but is a course and distance winner here at home and senior rider goes on so can do better. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bruzani tough to stop.
