LANCE OF HERO (1) is a three-start maiden who returned last time and finished fifth at Hanshin over 1800m, beaten 3 lengths. Plenty of scope for improvement and this presents a great chance to break through. BRANCH OUT (12) is yet to break through after six starts. Placed two back then last time out was fifth, beaten just 1.75 lengths, over 1400m at Hanshin. The blinkers go on. Well placed to break the ice. TOKAI SIEG (14) was at long odds on debut last time out and finished sixth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 1400m at Chukyo. Expected to feature with improvement to come. CHUWA MELODY (8) finished tenth at this track and distance at his last appearance three-and-a-half months ago. Can make his presence felt while fresh.
