Solid tempo with Gateau to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. GEISTREICH (6) raced on the pace last start and lifted strongly to hold second, beaten a neck, over today's journey at Chukyo Dirt. Too good to be a maiden and should shed the tag today. BAKERATTA (11) took advantage of the good draw when resuming from a spell last start and led for much of the way before finishing second, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. Back in fine fettle and will take catching again. SESTINA (5) is back from a spell of eight months. Debuted with a third, beaten 4 lengths, over 1700m at Sapporo Dirt at his only appearance to date. Everything points to a big run. GATEAU (9) is back from a spell of ten weeks. Debuted with a third, beaten 6 lengths, over 1800m at this track at his only run. Sure to measure up.
