Solid pace likely with Hayworth prominent along with Cashla Bay crossing from an outside gate. PERLINO (3) is a very progressive filly who was good enough to finish third as the favourite in a strong edition of the NZB Stakes here a fortnight ago over 1600m. She will try 2000m for the first time, but she still looks to be the one to beat. Follow your money. CASHLA BAY (1) was in the wrong part of the track when finishing well behind the top pick in the same race last time out. She was a big winner off the front when resuming before that most recent run, and despite a wide gate, she can bounce straight back into the money here. CIRCUS TRIX (4) has turned a corner in her last couple of starts, including a brave second in the Manawatu Classic at Trentham 4 weeks ago. Each way claims again. CAPACI (5) is heading back into her best form, and she will be peaking third up from a spell. Include in all top 4 combos. HELLO HAYLEY (2) has been unable to run on in her last couple of starts, but if the tempo is genuine, then she can figure in the top 4 at good odds in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Perlino can win this.
