Plenty of pace with Rejoiced and Smart Recognition up front, pressured by Grinzinger Knight and Unleash. KORUTO (3) ran another good race last time when second over 1615m at Doomben, beaten 1.5 lengths. Back in trip and looks a winning chance. KIPTANUI (6) didn't do a bad job when eighth last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths after he made late ground. That followed a win at Taroom the start prior. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. GRINZINGER KNIGHT (2) returns from a spell of seven months. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when eighth over 1625m at Toowoomba. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Capable of testing this field. REJOICED (1) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at this track but couldn't back it up last start when seventh over 1000m at Nanango. Has his share of ability and can do a lot better. TRAPEZE WARRIOR (5) hasn't really produced this campaign but worth consideration today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Koruto on top.
