Tapo is expected to lead at a keen tempo. BLUE HAWAIIAN (11) is an improver in a smart stable. Belted the Cranbourne Maidens by almost 5L third-up, backed off the map, and is still shy of her best. Promising and can go on with the job. CRIPPS (18) is also progressive and will be hard to beat if he gets into the field. He was heavily bet at Mildura first up and was disappointing (vet cleared). He's since won a Bendigo trial and ran strong relative numbers in his maiden preparation. Winning rider McLeod is reunited and sharp improvement is on the cards. NIMBUSTWOTHOUSAND (1) was an easy winner this grade at Bendigo and then found a 70 at Sandown-Hillside a touch rich. He has a wide gate and top weight, but rates well, and the shorter sprint shouldn't bother. JUSTDOIT (7) has drawn out, but has won 2/4 in Heavy going and can't be left out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Blue Hawaiian.
