Has shown potential in both trials and ticks a few boxes on his home track. GLADSTONE GRANDE (7) turned in a strong first-up run when second at Hawkesbury, before flopping badly when sixth over 1080m on the Canberra Acton circuit. Key jockey change and can stalk the good tempo. DEVIOUS MIND (18) drops sharply in weight at his fourth run back. Can give plenty of cheek up on the speed. CRUDO (4) is on debut for the Lees barn and has shown some promising signs at the trials. May be better over further, though his latest 1000m heat at Gosford suggests he can run well here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hard Jakka can put in a tradesman like performance.
