Genuine pace with Choice Bid crossing from the outside gate in search of the lead. WESTERN IMPACT (4) is racing in good order and drops in weight today after a 2L defeat in a CL3 here last start. Webster knows him well and the barrier should see him land in a good position in running. Rates well on his best form and can bounce back to winning ways today. WESTCOAST EXPRESS (12) got a long way back last start and never featured at Belmont and will find this much easier. His run two back at Northam stacks up and the map looks favourable for him. Joins the new stable and can debut for the Pateman team with a victory. WAR TACTICS (11) disappointed last start when setting the tempo but was in good touch prior to day. Now gets Faithfull in the saddle replacing the apprentice hoop in a good push for his chances. Looks a live chance. LACEVINSKY (2) is better than he showed last start and can return to form with the rise in trip. IMAGE OF PRO (9) wasn't far away last start and has to be included on that effort. SUGGESTED PLAY: Western Impact gets the nod.
