Te Aroha   31 Aug 2025

GOING: H(10)

EPIC JOURNEYS 1150m

Track: HEAVY 10     Out 6-7m (Bottom Bend)

Solid tempo likely from Amazonia and Opaea Joe. HONEY BADGER (4) has been freshened up since a last start second in a 4-horse field at Te Rapa just over 8 weeks ago. She has won her only start on this track, and from a handy gate, she will be hard to hold out. MONEYPENNY (10) just battled over 1400m at Te Rapa last start after a game win by a head there over 1200m before that. She won her maiden impressively at Pukekohe fresh up by 4 lengths, and can bounce straight back into the money here. ACCIDENTAL TOURIST (1) resumes from a spell and will be ready to rumble with 3 lead-up trials under his belt. A wet track will suit him, and even after such a long spell, he is capable of taking this out. I'MUNSTOPPABLE (5) is worth following if the market support is there. JETHRO TULL (7) can lead all the way, and BENEATH THE STARS (11) is not to be risked. SUGGESTED PLAY: In an even lineup, Honey Badger will be hard to hold out fresh up. Include 1-5-7-10-11.
