Slick tempo with Secret Matter to lead but under plenty of pressure in a keen early contest. ASSURBANIPAL (8) wasted no time getting off the mark as favourite on debut over 1600m at this track five-and-a-half months ago and has not raced since. Has plenty of upside and should go on with it. MAPLE TAPIT (1) continued the good recent form when he finished just 2 lengths away in third last time out over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Has the gun draw this time and should be in the finish again. ADELANTE (10) went to the paddock after scoring at his last appearance 12 weeks ago over 1600m at this track. Looks a strong top-three prospect. RAISE TWILIGHT (12) was in a different class last time, sitting just off the speed before letting down impressively for a 2.5 lengths win at Nakayama Dirt over 1800m. Cannot be underestimated.
