VIATEK NSW COUNTRY BOOSTED SHOWCASE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1280m

Track: SOFT 6   Clouds (Max: 20)   Rail: True.

In Summer has the early speed to cross from the wide gate. IN SUMMER (8) smart filly who got off the mark as favourite on debut when a commanding winner over 1100m at Scone on April 16. Expected to have improved further and has the figures to win again. KEIKOKU (1) three runs back have been sound and will appreciate the drop in grade today. Came from near last on the turn when a close-up fifth over 1200m at Tamworth on April 8. Can race closer from the good gate and will appreciate the 3kg claim. GOONOO (3) lightly raced gelding with ability. Total forgive at the latest when taken back from the wide gate to finish eighth over 1100m at Scone on April 16. Solid top-three contender. LAGO'S DAUGHTER (5) was never comfortable in the heavy (8) going when ninth over 1280m here at the latest. Previous runs were solid and the firmer track helps. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 8,1,3,5.
