A strong pace on the cards with Zouatica and Spirit Ridge likely to roll along early. FAWKNER PARK (7) made very light work of them in the LR Albury Gold Cup when putting just over 3L on his nearest rival. Has kept the legs ticking over between runs with a soft trial. Rates highly on recent efforts and is sure to be there at the business end. RENAISSANCE WOMAN (3) doesn't win out of turn but has been holding his own in Group company for quite some time. Shoulders a good record over this journey and will appreciate Josh Parr reuniting. Main danger. SPIRIT RIDGE (2) returns and holds fresh form. Will head forward from the wide gate and the two trials in will put him in good stead to give a very bold sight. MAKRAM (5) shocked punters when scoring first-up in The Elms but then followed it up with close fourth behind Atishu in the G2 Blamey at Flemington. Was below his best last start at Bendigo but can bounce back sharply and is among the main chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Fawkner Park to win. Saving on Spirit Ridge.
