From the wide draw Hidalgo can cross and set up a solid tempo. AUTUMN BEAUTY (2) stuck to his task gamely as favourite at Awara Park 18 days ago, and he did win his maiden out of his grade when scoring by a nose at Trentham near the end of June. He is having his first start in a clockwise direction, and he will be hard to hold out again. TALENTOSO (4) has been a touch disappointing over a mile recently, despite being well supported in the market. He has had a couple of gear changes since his last run, and an extra 600m this time could make all the difference. A wide gate won't matter here over this trip, and he is worth another chance. IN A PICKLE (1) drops right back in class from his last couple of starts, and even with the top weight of 70kg, he can be very competitive in this. IRRIGATE (5) could not sustain her big run at Te Rapa 6 days ago in a tougher field, and is much better placed in this. She has a good draw, and a form reversal is on the cards. JOEJOECCINI (7) will be peaking third up, and he is set to put his best hoof forward here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Irrigate is worth a ticket at some each-way value.
