Even tempo with Loyal Consul probably taking it up from a low draw in the absence of a genuine leader. FERAGO (1) wasn't beaten too far in the Warrnambool Cup three starts ago and was back on track placing at Geelong this distance range 9 days ago. The 3kg claim more than takes care of the weight rise, and he will settle back and come hard. ALHAMBRA PALACE (8) is also in a leading stable and is ready to show more. Has had two runs this preparation and has won a hurdle trial since the Sandown outing 25 days ago. He'd won if he replicated his best UK staying form, albeit that was some time ago. NASSAK DIAMOND (5) will strip fitter and the Payne yard is going well. She's capable on the flat and over the sticks, and the trip holds no fears. LOYAL CONSUL (17) should be around the mark.
