HAY PEARL (6) raced on the pace but couldn't finish off in a Class 1 over this distance at Newcastle last start. Raced here once and saluted. Looks hard to beat dropping back significantly in grade today. ISLEDON (7) settled back and couldn't make up the ground over 1006m at Grafton last time out. Down in grade and better suited over this distance. Big chance to turn things around. NEVADA SMOKE (3) rattled home to just miss the frame at her latest outing over 1350m at Newcastle on 26 February. Capable of testing these while fresh. RANSOMING (4) is a chance based on a game win over 1400m at Gunnedah two starts back. DOOLIE (5) has struggled on heavy tracks recently. Might surprise if this surface dries out come race time. SUGGESTED PLAY: Hay Pearl to win with a saver on Isledon.
