Good early tempo with several going forward, primarily Zelring, Fantasy Eagle and Valley Prince. VALLEY PRINCE (4) is a tough veteran who could have found his rivals a bit too slick over 1200 metres last start. He will appreciate the extra furlong and carries 2 kilos less in weight this time. He was a solid second at his prior start and is due another win. AWEN (8) won at her first start on this course and then battled away well enough to hold third last time out over a mile. She won't mind the drop back in trip and can run into the money again. Each-way. MACER'S RAZOR (5) has come of age this prep and made it 2 wins from his last 4 starts when scoring in a similar field here nearly a fortnight ago by over 2 lengths. He only has to carry an extra kilo in weight and another win is not beyond him. LETHAL ENCOUNTER (6) will be peaking third up and should be ready to put his best hoof forward. The blinkers are back on and he isn't the worst for an each-way ticket at odds. SUGGESTED PLAY: Valley Prince each-way.
