To The Rescue, Futurewolff and Ryan's Dream to take up the running at a decent tempo. TO THE RESCUE (1) followed up his maiden victory with an encouraging fifth-place finish over 2000m here on the Standside course. He shed his maiden tag over this distance and drops back in grade for this. He is the one to beat even with the top weight to carry. HOLOCENE (7) has finished third in his last three starts. He has won once and finished third once from three starts over this distance. He also drops in class and Piere Strydom may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most. FUTUREWOLFF (2) fought on when third over a mile on this course last time out. He won his penultimate start here over this trip and is in a good space. He merits obvious inclusion. ROYAL MAZARIN (3) ran a good race over 2600m last time out. He won his only attempt over this distance, three runs ago. The 6-year-old gelding has to contend with the widest draw but he gets the services of Muzi Yeni who will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle. Each way value.
