MAONO VOLCANO (7) missed the frame two back in tougher company then last time in a more suitable affair scored by 3 lengths over 1400m at this track. Likely to measure up again. GALWAY GIRL (6) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 1400m at this track after being prominent from the outset. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. HEROIC ROY (4) finished sixth at this track and distance at his last appearance ten weeks ago but the prior form was good. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. SMART MANALIS (2) made it four minor placings in a row last start when third. Can feature again.
