Strong tempo with Cold Train, Irlandais and Chouxdino leading the way. CHOUXDINO (1) stayed on well when resuming, sitting outside the lead on a solid pace. He would have taken the benefit of fitness from that run and can improve here. He has form that would win this race last prep, and he looks set to return to those numbers. IRLANDAIS (6) has placed second in five consecutive runs but has run well in all. He must raise the bar to convert a placing into a win, but he's certainly capable of that. COLD TRAIN (3) backs up 10 days after he was well-supported at Warrnambool and finished third over 2000m. He should be in the finish if ridden appropriately from the wide draw. CIRCA (2) was an improver last start and can hold that level of form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with CHOUXDINO.
