Plenty of pressure on from the outset with some speedy types engaged in the good-sized field. PROTOSTAR (2) raced consistently when trained in NSW and has carried that form through for his new connections in this area. He was a beaten favourite here when finishing runner-up by a length a fortnight ago and is sure to be hard to beat again, even from a wide gate. LAMOREE (8) is a stablemate of the top pick who is still looking for her first win on this track. She had an excuse last time out as favourite and was in very good form before that. She has a superior gate this time and can make amends. QUANAPIRRI BAY (4) tried hard for second in a handy field here nearly 2 weeks ago and is nearing another win. He has 3-kilos less to carry this time thanks to a claim and can get the job done. BOLD TROPIC (3) ran on strongly fresh up on this track 3 weeks ago and will be better for the run. He is never far away and is expected to be right in the finish again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Quanapirri Bay each-way.
