BILLY BOY (3) showed pace to lead up his last race on the flat at New Plymouth, before fighting on gamely to finish sixth, just over a length from the winner. He has been a jumping sensation this year and is the one to beat here. HAPPY STAR (1) fought on courageously when finishing close up in third place in the Grand National hurdle at Riccarton just over 3 weeks ago. He will be leading or racing on the pace the whole way here and will again try his heart out. Stick with him. HILL OF KINGS (11) was a touch on the flat side when finishing fourth at Woodville last time out, and mixed his jumping. He won his maiden hurdle here by a wide margin in late July and will be right in the finish here. SULIMAN (5) got in the telling stride to win the Grand National hurdle by a nose last start. He relishes this trip, and if it becomes another slog-fest, then he can win again. SQUIRE (9) looked good when winning his first 2 hurdle starts, and has had a run on the flat as a tune-up. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Billy Boy looks to be the one to beat. Don't risk Hill Of Kings at a price.
