Fast tempo assured with Rockabottle and Champagne Effort going at each other early in the piece. ROCKABOTTLE (5) resumes having run second at his only run to date at Colac, beaten 1.3 lengths over 1100m. Should have improved over the break and finds a winnable race here. Should push on and give a sight. CHAMPAGNE EFFORT (9) has placed in all three starts this time in, beaten under a length at Cranbourne two back and again not far away at Wangaratta. Should land in the first couple and take plenty of catching. HELL OF A GENT (3) debuted at Echuca and wasn't far away in fifth. Should improve off that and Shinn going on is a positive. ZWASP (7) can resume with a good run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rockabottle to win.
