ELF STRUCK (4) showed early speed from an outside draw last time then tired over the final stages to finish 13th, beaten 5 lengths, over 2000m at Sapporo. Expected to do much better. LAYBACK SPIN (5) returned from a spell last start with a strong win by 1.75 lengths over 1800m at Niigata Dirt. Open to plenty of improvement and must be respected. ZERO HOUR (2) was thereabouts last time out when second at this track over 1800m, beaten half a length. Should be at her peak now. Has six wins from 12 starts at this circuit. Fitter and should run well today. QUEEN'S CHOCOLAT (9) returns after a spell of 11 weeks. Looking to emulate her win at Kyoto Dirt at the beginning of last prep. Has to be respected.
