Redwood Ransom and Kimberley Currency will press forward in a keen battle for the lead. SCARY MARY (8) resumes without a trial, but was solid first-up at Narrogin over 1100m. She was solid in much stronger maidens following that and her form stands out in a race of this calibre. Drawn well and can get the job done this time, as long as she's fit enough. CHEST OUT SWAGGER (3) is knocking on the door and will find this easier than recent events. He's off 28 days coming into this, but drops down to 1000m and has been effective on the fresh side previously. Can put his best foot forward in what looks a suitable assignment. WESTRIVER DYNIQUE (10) was just okay at Bunbury on debut back in February, though she had trialled nicely going in. She's obviously had some issues, but she won her latest trial before moving to the Scott barn. Looks nicely placed in this and can feature. IMPENDING FEATURE (7) disappointed last start but can bounce back to form. KIMBERLEY CURRENCY (2) is next best off a nice trial win recently. SUGGESTED PLAY: Scary Mary can win the opener.
