Pressure on from the get-go as Omega Supreme, Fade Hard and Rainbow Maple lock horns ahead of Sequoia and Heisei Road. HEISEI ROAD (4) was always well back this course and distance last time, but did find the line nicely to finish fourth and beaten 3 lengths. Expected to prove tough to stop here. FADE HARD (7) showed good speed here last time over 1400m and was on speed before being claimed and fading to finish fifth, beaten 4 lengths. Rates highly and expected to go close. KIDS SHITAIHYA (10) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings. Has placed at all three starts here and is expected to be competitive. SEQUOIA (2) was safely held last time out when fourth over 1400m at Kasamatsu so sent for a spell and returns here from a four months break. Record at this journey is sound with four wins from nine runs and rates among the each way hopes.
