ERIKA BIARRITZ (5) met with solid support when resuming last start over 1600m at this track when second, beaten 2 lengths. Certainly deserves another chance. EFCHARISTO (9) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten 0.8 lengths, over 1600m at this track. Leading player again. BAOBHAN SITH (14) could only manage seventh two runs back then improved last start when she did her best work late but found one better over 1600m at this track, beaten 1.5 lengths. Finds a suitable race and can go on to take this out. FLARING BERRY (15) returned from a spell three weeks ago when she was beaten 4 lengths into eighth over 1600m at Tokyo. Fitter so expect a better run this time. |

GRAN MAESTRO (5) is yet to break through after six career starts. Could only manage to finish fourth last time out over 1400m at Tokyo following a minor placing at Tokyo when fresh from a spell the run prior. Has placed four of six runs and expected to go close. TWILIGHT VIEW (6) is yet to break through in five runs. Finished fourth at his last appearance over 1600m at this track on May 3. Well placed on this occasion and gets his chance to break the ice. MIRABILLION (13) turned in a fair effort at Chukyo Dirt over 1200m at his last run nine weeks ago, finishing fourth and beaten 1.75 lengths. Looks a strong top-three prospect. KIRI MITSU (4) returned from a spell three weeks ago when he was prominent at the turn before being beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth over 1600m at this track. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat. |

PIEDMONT (1) finished third, beaten 1.5 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Leading chance with plenty of upside. KASHIMA RAIFU (4) made considerable ground in the run home to finish third last start over 1600m at this track. Has the ability to take this out. Ready to win and gets chance. VENT D'ESPERANCE (6) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Overdue for a win. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. ECCELLENTE (5) stepped out for his debut over 1600m at this track back on November 9 and finished eighth, beaten 7 lengths. Top-three chance with that run under his belt. |

WIN APPROACH (5) returned last time with a solid second at this track over 1600m. Bursting to win and expected to go close. TRANS MARE (12) found the line nicely last start to get up for second over 1800m at this track when coming back from a spell. Takeshi Yokoyama has registered two minor placings when on board. Fitter and a likely improver. SERIENKONIGIN (7) finished third, beaten 1.1 lengths, when resuming from a spell last start over 1600m at this track. Ready to go a couple better. STEEL GUITAR RAG (10) hit the line strongly on debut last start to finish fourth, beaten 1.1 lengths over 1800m at this track. Solid top-three hope. |

MUTEKI SHACHO (6) has been in the placings at both runs this prep, most recently a closing second over 1400m at this track. Overdue and gets his chance to break through. SONIC BREAKER (7) broke through for his maiden win over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt last time, scoring comfortably. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Shaping up nicely and he is one of the main chances. TOYOSAKAE (4) is going well this campaign and found the line strongly latest when fourth at this track. Y Yoshida sticks. One of the main contenders. MOZU TANQUE (1) has not been sighted since he finished second over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt on March 29. Everything points to a big run. |

CEYLON GEMS (6) resumes. Wasn't far away at the only run last time in work, finishing fourth over 1800m at this track four months ago. Backmarker who keeps coming. One of the leading chances. SCHON STIER (10) made a strong late bid but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 1800m at Niigata. Should be near her peak for this. This is a nice drop in grade so she all set to go one better. POD ROLF (8) finished second at Chukyo two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1600m at Nakayama, finishing 3.5 lengths back in sixth. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. GO GO TAKASHI (4) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1800m at Niigata after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. |

MAX Q (5) is back from a break of ten weeks. Closed last campaign with a narrow defeat over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt. Best form is this course and distance. Rates highly and makes plenty of appeal. HAINS POINT (11) returns from a spell. Finished second at this track and distance at his only appearance last prep three-and-a-half months ago. Should be prominent from the outset. Will prove tough to beat. FOURTH MIRACLE (13) returns from a spell of ten weeks. Was safely held at the only appearance last prep when eighth over 1400m at Chukyo Dirt. Has to be respected. LAKE STRIPES (15) has not raced since he scored on debut over 1600m at this track on November 17 2024. Should run very well. |

AARON'S ROD (11) turned in a sound effort last time but found one better at Hanshin over 2400m, beaten half a length. Should be at his peak now. Has a superb record here at the journey with two wins and a 100% top-three strike rate. Suited here and a win will not surprise. GEOCENTRIC (4) is a promising galloper who resumes from a break. Last raced when third over 2000m at Nakayama nine weeks ago which was the only run of that prep. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a spell in four starts. Should be prominent from the outset. Best form puts him right in this. SATONO PATRIOT (13) is a promising galloper who won at his only run last prep six months ago over 2400m at this track. Should park just off the speed. Will give backers a great sight. NORARI KURARI (6) didn't do a bad job when second last start over 2400m at this track. That followed a win at Hanshin the start prior. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. |

MEISHO HACHIRO (14) wound up strongly only to just miss when fresh from a spell as favourite last start over 1400m at this track. Should tighten right up following that outing. Looks hard to beat. SEGUIR EL VIENTO (13) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner as favourite last start over 1600m at this track. Has race fitness on her side now. Has started two times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. The engagement of Kiwamu Ogino is a positive move. Ready to go one better. QUANTUM WAVE (8) is a handy type who resumes after a break of five months. At his last appearance he finished fourth over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt, beaten 1.5 lengths. Has two wins to his name when fresh from a spell. Should be poised just off the lead. Will give backers a great sight. SUM SHINE (9) last appeared when he scored over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt on March 28. Makes plenty of appeal. |

JAZZALDIA (10) has switched yards since scoring by one length at Hanshin over 1600m on April 12. Promising type won only try course and distance. Should be right in the finish. REIGNING (12) missed the placings when returning from a spell last time out over this distance at Kyoto, beaten 3.5 lengths. Has a strong record this course, scoring at three of five starts. Best form puts him right in this. TEN MIRACLE STAR (13) is back from a spell after closing last campaign with a couple of wins, the latest over 2000m at Nakayama on March 14. Talented filly already with a good record fresh. Leading hope. LADY MYKONOS (18) has been kept fresh since finishing fifth over 1800m at Kyoto five weeks ago. Was a determined winner two runs back. Can sneak into the finish. |

THE TOKYO YUSHUN (JAPANESE DERBY) 2400m
The majority come through the Grade 1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) at Nakayama, where LOVCEN (17) shared the lead and lifted strongly to score over Realize Sirius. Drawn wide but looks an exciting colt suited by the extra ground. Won the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes when last time second-up and can add another feature win from the front again. REALIZE SIRIUS (11) shared the pace in the Guineas and just found Lovcen too strong late. Drawn much better this time though and will go forward and take beating with a repeat. GOING TO SKY (14) ran on hard to score this course and distance last time in the G2 TV Tokyo Hai Aoba Sho (Japanese Derby Trial). Can only be fitter and looks hard to hold out. PEINTRE NAIF (13) came from the back to finish midfield fresh in the Guineas. Fitter and extra trip a huge plus. CONGESTUS (6) is an unbeaten colt who got home hard to score fresh. This toughest test but untapped and looks an excellent winning chance. |

THE MEGURO KINEN 2500m
VICTOR VERUS (6) was first up from a spell last start and saluted by a nose at Hanshin over 2600m. Yet to miss the frame in seven runs and loves it here. Expected to measure up. DANON CIMA (11) is having his first run since March 22. Goes very well when fresh with three wins from six starts, the latest over 2000m at this track at the start of last prep. Capable of playing a major role. FEIERN KRANZ (4) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his only appearance last prep in the G3 Diamond Stakes at this track over 3400m on February 21.Goes well fresh and leading rider goes aboard. Look for a bold run. HEARTS CONCERTO (9) ran on from the back fresh and beaten only a length. Years since a win but fitter and is an excellent winning chance. |
